Ann Marie Nelson, age 88, of Appleton, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Congregational Home in Brookfield, WI. Ann was born in Green-Bay, Wisconsin on May 24, 1935, to the late Elmer and Mabel (Schinke) Lemke. She grew up in Shirley, Wisconsin and graduated from De Pere High School with the class of 1953. On September 11, 1954, she married her high school sweetheart William Nelson. The couple enjoyed 36 years together until William's passing in 1989. Ann was an active member at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Appleton. She participated in Appleton Women's Club, Women's Bible study, Tuesday Club, and Bridge club.

Ann is survived by her son Mark (Heather) Nelson, daughter Lisa (Gary) Stewart, brother Jim (Mary) Lemke, and sister-in-law Bonnie Lemke. She will be greatly missed by her five grandchildren; Tyler (Sarina) Stewart, Sarah (Will) Hoffman, Spencer Stewart, Bill (Kayla) Nelson, and Ashley (Karan) Patel as well as her 7 great grandchildren; MJ, Max, and Kenzie Hoffman, Aiden and Ava Stewart, and Avery and Maya Patel. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, god-children, and friends. She is reunited in heaven with her parents Elmer and Mabel Lemke, husband William, and two brothers, Bill and Dave Lemke.

Please join us for a visitation at 11 am and remembrance service at 12 pm on Saturday, December 16th at Brettschneider Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel located at 606 N Oneida Street in Appleton, WI. A celebration of life will follow at 1pm at Mark's East Side located at 1405 E Wisconsin Ave in Appleton, WI. Ann will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park where she will join her husband for eternity.
